I love spring! I would say it is my favorite season, but I seem to say that about summer, fall, and winter...nontheless I do l-o-v-e spring. Usually my family plants a garden filled with wonderful vegetables and peppers, but this year we decided to just do a flower garden. I was a little uneasy about it at first, but after I saw the hundreds of tulips my dad planted come up, I changed my mind. In one of the pictures I posted you will see just one of our three beds of tulips. Sadly I took that picture a week too late. Last week we had what seems like MILLIONS of tulips! It was absolutely so beautiful. I have to say that I am liking this flower garden thing much better than the vegetable garden. It is much less work and way more fun to go and cut them rather than trying to pull off an eggplant with all that spikey green fur on the stem and little weird bugs crawling all around you.

Spring just has this renewness feel to it. Everything is coming alive around me and I just feel energized. I posted a picture of our deck area where I like to go sit in the sun and drink an Arnold Palmer. Sometimes that world can tell us just to go, go, go, but remember to sit and enjoy God's creation. It always amazes me how horrible I am at sitting still with nothing ELSE to do besides just sitting and enjoy life. Even though the world is giving a different message (i.e. the more you do the better you are type thing...) I believe that by sitting and doing "nothing;" I am gaining a better understanding of our Creator and Savior. Spring is not just for flowers, tress, and grass; it is also for me. God has sprung into renewing and energizing my spirit day by day.
